When we postponed the AGM until 24 September, we had hoped we would be able to hold a conventional AGM. Unfortunately, this is not possible. Understandably many of our members are shielding; many are reluctant to attend meetings; there is no hall available which could accept all those who may wish to participate with appropriate social distancing, and there could be another lockdown. In these circumstances the Board has decided to hold our AGM virtually on Zoom – all members will be able to join from their computer or tablet or by phone.
To ensure that the meeting is quorate and that everyone participating is a member and entitled to vote, you need to register to attend online or by phoning in. The usual arrangements for proxies and nominations for the Board, Chair and Vice-Chair, are in place. Please support the Society by "attending" the meeting we need to be quorate. Of course, the virtual nature of this meeting enables those of you who do not live locally to participate.
All the information about the AGM is on the Faversham Society website,
If you need any of the documents, please write to us at AGM, The Faversham Society, 10-13 Preston St., Faversham ME13 8NS.
There are three vacancies on the Board this year.
Three Directors are up for re-election Jonathan Carey, Harold Goodwin and Pat Reid. Harold and Jonathan are standing for re-election. Pat Reid is retiring.
