For more than 350 years, Faversham was one of England's most important centres for the manufacture of gunpowder and other explosives, playing a vital role in the nation's industrial, military and economic history.
Join Tess and Ian Brown as they explore the development of the industry from its origins to its decline, examining its impact on the people of Faversham and the wider county of Kent. It also highlights some of the key individuals whose innovations, leadership and enterprise shaped this remarkable chapter in the town's history.
