A musical presentation written by Geoff Sandiford and Dominic Abrams, illustrated by Jason Cox. Filmed and recorded live in St Mary’s of Charity, the very church that Thomas Arden attended. This story of ‘A Cruel Murder in Kent’ was so well known that it was included in Holinshed’s History of England in 1577 which inspired anonymous authors to write the play ‘Arden of Faversham’ published in 1592. This production fills in the backgrounds of the main characters and describes the numerous attempts to kill Master Arden, who seemed to lead a charmed life, until he met his violent end procured by his own wife Alice.
