Swale has begun the process of creating a new local plan which amongst other things will determine which sites go forward for housing.
The Faversham Society in beginning the exercise of looking at the sites which have been put forward for development. Swale planners have begun to do site assessments which the Faversham Society will critique and prepare its own evidence.
Once a formal planning application is put in Swale has 16 weeks to determine the application which can mean that the Society has as little as 3 weeks to prepare its submission. It is therefore important that the Society is prepared.
Now that there is a draft Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment published by Swale the Society must begin to look at the sites to ensure that it is well informed when commenting on sites.
