In addition to the volunteers you will encounter in the Fleur, we have people who contribute behind the scenes: running our talks and events programme, minuting meetings, curating our museum collection, looking after and cataloguing our paper and photographic archives, organising and hanging our exhibitions, campaigning, looking after our social media, editing and producing our publications, the newsletter and the journal we’ll be launching this year. We also welcome volunteers who can help with maintaining our buildings and our garden. Volunteers run the Open Houses and Open Gardens event s each year, staff the Chart Gunpowder Mill and provide the Faversham Town Walks. They do it for enjoyment and the sense of satisfaction it brings,
Members of the Society work through our Environment and Planning committees to achieve our conservation, heritage and better Faversham objectives and the Faversham Society Archaeological Group and the Faversham Society History Group – new members are always welcome.
If you are interested in working with us, please leave a note for the Chair at the Fleur at 13 Preston Street or email chair@favershamsociety.info
