Join Jason Mazzocchi, as he discusses these maps of Faversham Creek and the Swale. They are drawn by hand in pen and ink on parchment and are coloured with watercolour. They are very similar to each other and were made around the year 1620.

Jason is the editor of Archaeologia Cantiana. He is currently a PhD student at Canterbury Christ Church University with a focus on Faversham and the Cinque Ports in Early Modern Kent.

Due to capacity limitations, tickets must be pre booked, either via our website or at the Visitor Information Centre.
